GBU 851 Business Strategy
MBA Core Course - Capstone Course
This capstone course provides the final opportunity for MBA students to integrate all functional areas into a business strategic plan. After completing all of the prerequisite core courses, a student should understand how a firm's information, technology, material, time, financial, and human resources are all intertwined and related in the successful development of a firm's business strategy. This course will expand a student's understanding of the integration of those concepts as well as expand the student's understanding of the impact of international, legal, social, political, economic and technological environmental context on strategy development and implementation. Using qualitative and quantitative decision-making techniques to manage the processes students will identify problems and opportunities and create real life solutions. Through group and individual efforts with a focus on the global enivronment, this course focuses on creating awareness of and appreciation of the diversity of global business, including understanding the ethical relationship of profit, free enterprise and corporate social responsibility. Developing long term vision is the key to a firm's survival. GBU 851 provides case analysis and real-world emphasis to aid a student's ability to adapt to our rapidly changing world.
